Maternity Session, Delhi NCR

It is a serious commitment to bring a life into this world. It’s no casual thing. As a Maternity Photographer l see all kinds of parents to be and the dedication and devotion they already have for their unborn child.

I see good people planning to raise more good people and my heart warms with hope for the future.

I already see a huge difference in today’s children vis a vis how we were when we were little. They are so aware and such little activists already. Telling us crackers cause pollution or in my son’s case, refusing to use the splash pool to save water. And he is 5 years old. I have never felt prouder as a mother. Of course credit goes to amazing teachers, good schools and of course technology at their fingertips.

But this post is for hopeful expecting parents, moms and dads to be. You are brave and you are able. You have taken on the most difficult job in this world. I see you striving to be better than you have ever been. I see you are scared but your love is enough. You are enough. More than enough…!!

That’s how the world changes for the better. One kid at a time.

Till next time Namaste.

Working With Babies As A Photographer

Welcoming a baby is a life-changing experience and setting up a baby photoshoot is one of the tops things that soon to be parents will want to consider. As a photographer practicing baby photography in Delhi or any other NCR cities, like Noida and Gurugram, there are a few things that you should consider understanding, if this your first time shooting babies. Photographing newborn babies can be a difficult task and should be done within the first 10 days of the baby being born. This is due to the fact that they are still very pliable and sleeping most of the time, which helps to position and to pose.

Using Macro Photography for Babies:

One of the best ways to shoot babies is with a macro lens. Getting close-ups and candid shots work incredibly well. Capturing the little feet and hands is a great way to document the babies’ first days. To get an idea of how small the baby really is, a lot of photographers will ask the parents to pose with the baby holding them, just for the perspective.

Cameras with high ISO setting are ideal for baby photographers, as it can shoot in darker light conditions. Also, shutter speed plays a big role in capturing the ideal shots, as babies can move unexpectedly and suddenly.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
